Day One – Building in Public

Posted May 6, 2025 · ~2 min read

Every trading blog seems to start from success. This one starts from zero.

I work nights at a prison. Twelve hours and fifteen minutes a shift. Four nights on, four nights off. I’ve got a wife, three daughters, and a burning need to build something better—for myself and for anyone else who's stuck in a system that just grinds people down.

This project didn’t come from money, influence, or credentials. It came from frustration. From staring at overpriced courses, fake mentors, and endless content that never teaches you how to do the thing yourself.

I’m not a trader. I’m not a tech guy. I’m a correctional officer using the tools I have—ChatGPT Plus ($20/month), a NinjaTrader 8 install, and a $50,000 evaluation account from Apex Trader Funding ($33/month). I haven’t passed the eval yet—but I’m working on it.

Everything I do is documented here. Every mistake. Every experiment. Every lesson. If it works, you’ll see why. If it fails, you’ll see that too.

I’ll post:

This is not fast money. This is not signals. This is a slow, disciplined process that I’m building in public—so others can learn, copy, adapt, or improve it.

Thanks for being here on Day One.
